Academic interest is one of the five standards of Alpha Chi Omega.
We support our sister academic success through:
VP Intellectual Development led support systems
Access to two quiet Study rooms available in the house
Career building workshops featuring resume workshops, mock interviews and headshot photos
Annual majors dinner where sisters sit by major to learn more about classes, gaining work experience, and trends in the industry
Sisters and alumni who serve as constant role models!
Here at Alpha Chi Omega we embrace this motto and seek the heights in our majors, careers, studying abroad and awards.
STUDY ABROAD
Georgia Tech offers countless global study and work opportunities, and dozens of our sisters take advantage of them each semester. Scattered across the globe, from the cliffs of Ireland to the rolling green hills of New Zealand, our sisters learn, grow, and explore our world in endless ways. We love sharing their stories and photographs, and each year we look forward to hearing about their experiences. What makes these experiences all the better is sharing them with other Alpha Chis.
There are few things as valuable and meaningful as expanding our horizons on a truly global level. Beyond books, labs, and the United States, travel teaches and exposes us to a plethora of perspectives we may never have otherwise imagined. Seeing the world in a new light, together, allows us to see the beauty in even the common things all around us. This opportunity isn't something we would trade for the world.

Studied Abroad in Australia
For the Spring 2019 semester, I got to do an exchange program in Sydney, Australia, with two of my best friends from AXO, Abby and Rachel. We lived together and took classes at the University of New South Wales. We spent a week in New Zealand (which was so beautiful that it literally looked fake) hiking Roy’s Peak, watching the sunset from the top of the Remarkables, and zip lining over turquoise lakes. One of my favorite trips was when we visited the Whitsunday Islands, where we spent two days on a live-aboard boat with 25 other backpackers from 10 different countries: we got to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, see Whitehaven Beach, and see the Milky Way in full force. Some of my favorite memories, though, were some of the calmer days in Sydney spending time with my friends and learning to call a new city home.

Studying abroad with the GT Oxford Program
I am so excited to travel this summer with another AXO and explore Europe! This is the first time GT has traveled to Spain for Oxford so we will be living these new experiences along with the professors, learning along the way. I can’t wait for the exploration, culture, art, music, and of course all the delicious food!
