Formal Recruitment

At Georgia Tech, Potential New Members (PNMs) will have the opportunity to visit eight of the Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) chapters during Formal Recruitment in order to gain exposure to our campus's range of sororities and Greek women. CPC also has two amazing associate chapters which do not participate in Formal Recruitment. During Formal Recruitment, each PNM and the chapters they visits each day will narrow down their choices through a mutual selection process. In the end, the PNM will have the opportunity to find the sorority, sisterhood, and community that best fits their values!

Letter from the VPR

Dear New Friends!

From all of us here at Alpha Chi, welcome to Georgia Tech and to our amazing Panhellenic community! We’re so glad you’re here! You are about to start an incredible journey of self-discovery that will push you to grow and learn in ways you didn’t think possible. Recruitment is such an exciting (and maybe a little overwhelming) part of that. I remember going through each day of my recruitment so clearly—the nerves, the questions, the what-am-I-even-doing moments—but I also remember the exact moment I felt at home. For me, that was walking through Alpha Chi Omega’s teal doors.

The love and support I’ve felt from the members of Alpha Chi have exceeded my wildest dreams and greatly contributed to my college experience. I do not know what I would have done without the members I have found here. Because of the people I have come to love and adore at Alpha Chi, I feel that I have a better sense of who I am, I feel that I can learn and grow in a safe space, and I feel that I can accomplish anything academically, personally, or professionally. What I’ve found here is a group of people who celebrate you exactly as you are and push you to be your best self every single day. These wonderful people will be there for you for all the high highs and the low lows of college as well as beyond your college years.

Recruitment is one of our favorite times of year because we get to meet so many incredible people. We’re big believers in real conversations about what you love, what drives you, the best show you watched this summer, or the craziest thing that’s ever happened to you. We’re not looking for “perfect.” We’re just looking to connect and to get to know the real you.

Our chapter is full of people with big dreams and even bigger hearts. Alpha Chis have been Miss Georgia Techs, Reck Drivers, Gold Rush girls, artists, engineers, future doctors… you name it. Our chapter is full of bold, brilliant people doing incredible things, but what makes our sisterhood truly special is how deeply we support, celebrate, and show up for each other through it all.

I’d love for you to check out our website to get to know us a little better. And if you ever have any questions about recruitment, Alpha Chi, or anything else, please reach out! We truly can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into our home!

See you soon!

Why Alpha Chi

There are eight CPC sororities, and even more outside of CPC, at Georgia Tech alone. Collegiate women have so many choices as to the organizations and communities that they join and the experiences they pursue.

So: Why Alpha Chi?

Why did our sisters choose our chapter over others? What have they gained from being sisters here, and how has it shaped not only their college experience, but who they have become as individuals?

Why Alpha Chi?

'“I have met the most wonderful people in Alpha Chi. Everyone is so supportive, genuine, and will truly be there for me if I ever need them. Every day during rush, I met a group of diverse women who I felt truly appreciated my interests and thoughts, and who saw the best in me. The lifelong friends I made here not only care for my presence, but acknowledge my absence. I joined a sorority because I wanted to dedicate my time to a sorority’s philanthropy efficiently, and AXO does a wonderful job of not only educating Georgia Tech’s community on Domestic Violence Awareness (DVA), but also involving students in supporting our local shelter under Partnership Against Domestic Violence. This type of healthy unconditional love is nothing I have ever experienced before. I feel incredibly grateful for finding that here at 741.”

“I’m Alpha Chi because there are always friendly faces at the house to greet me. Whether it's on the front porch, in the living room, or downstairs where someone will welcome me to sit and have dinner at their table. Our members care about each other greatly and want to see each of us become stronger, broad-minded members of society. I chose Alpha Chi because I can see how every member wants it to be a safe haven for people who might feel isolated on campus. We, especially members of the executive board, are consistently working to make their members and minority groups on campus feel heard. My favorite part of Alpha Chi so far has definitely been the big/little process. I loved meeting and getting to know different potential Bigs, and letting our VP New Member Education set me up with my match. I absolutely love my family and am excited to add someone new!”
